Review of SummerJam 2017

Once again On A Mission were on point to treat all you ravers to the spectacular and sunshine filled annual bonanza known as Summer Jam! Now legendary amongst the South Coast DnB scene, we returned to two of our favourite venues and put on a party unlike no other. After an unprecedented sell out well in advance of the big day, we kicked off proceedings in the garden at Sobar with some fresh new acts alongside some familiar favourites. By the time Digital Fusion Records and Eksman hit the stage, the marque was already filled up and the sun stayed with us throughout Lady V Dubz’s set who definitely smashed it and got the crowd even more hyped!

Nu:Elementz and Logan D continued the pace before local legends Klip and Outlaw graced the decks to close out the first half of the night with one of their top notch new school jump up sets. We have to give a massive big ups to all of those who kept the crowds jumping in Room 2 throughout the day with some excellent tune selection and mixing skills; in addition a special shout out goes to MC Spilla who stood out on the mic throughout the night – top lad!

However the night didn’t end there as we continued the party back at Switch for some heavy main room action alongside the Bunker’s launch weekend! OAM resident Newton warmed up proceedings with the perfect set to introduce the excellent Nu:Logic and SP MC who brought some chilled vibes ahead of a set from Brazil’s greatest export, Marky.

For the first time ever, the ravers were blessed with a B2B special from OAM’s finest, Ripraw and Hannibal which blew the roof off Switch and was a great blend of both of their unique styles. The main room finished up with sets from fan favourites SASASAS, Hazard and Ultrah, whilst the first DnB night held in Bunker had been buzzing and packed to the rafters all night. The headline set from Pleasure and Brooksie was truly something special, whilst acts such as our fellow neighbours Murky Crew and OAM residents D.V.Ant and Sci-Fi, who was joined B2B by Two-Tone, truly made Summer Jam our best one yet.

It was great to see plenty of new faces and hopefully all of you first time OAM ravers loved the party just as much as we did! We would love for you to become part of our long standing raving crew and join us for Camo Party Part 2 on 2nd December at Switch. This camo fancy dress extravaganza takes over Southampton and involves a crazy line up including Roni Size, Mampi Swift B2B Crissy Criss, Phantasy and Macky Gee amongst others! Make sure you get your tickets here early as this will be a big’un! Also keep an eye out for another big announcement from us shortly…..let’s just say that OAM plan to see in the New Year with style ;)
